The Warrior Aid & Litter Kit™ (WALK®) is designed to treat multiple trauma patients while allowing for immediate evacuation of one of those patients in a non-tradition vehicle. With a stream-lined pocket system built around the capacity to carry the Talon® 90C quad-fold litter with Retractable Handle System, the WALK® gives true definition to the term “aid and litter” kit. The WALK® also contains the NAR Hypothermia Prevention & Management Kit (HPMK™) to better help in the stabilization of a patient during transport. These new capabilities increase survivability at the point of wounding by providing basic self- and buddy-aid level medical equipment coupled with a rigid evacuation platform that interfaces with any standard or non-standard casualty evacuation asset. The WALK® is the new vehicle life-saving kit for the Department of Defense and is ideal as part of the pre-positioning of medical supplies or cache for disaster response.
